The Amber & Gold Peking Medium Double Gourd Vase is made of a unique layered glass, a complex process of blowing, carving then dipping multiple times. The wonderful amber color was a special hue during the Ming Dynasty, as it historically represented richness, and was highly prized in the emperor's palace for its brilliance.
